Pressure Vessels provide storage of liquids and gases at refining, chemical, petrochemical, food processing and several other kinds of manufacturing facilities. These vessels store products (raw materials and final products) at pressures and temperatures different from ambient pressure and temperature. Degradation in pressure vessels and columns typically affect weldments. Pitting and corrosion can also affect these components. Additionally, CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) is an extremely common problem on insulated vessels/columns.

Our primary inspection methods are verified with back-up methods thereby providing an additional layer of confirmation. We utilize various techniques to identify issues with welds (and heat affected zones) such as cracking, lack of fusion, porosity, linear indications, undercuts, slag and other unacceptable weld defects. The Pressure Vessel / Column Shell and Heads are evaluated with Ultrasonic Thickness measurements and comprehensive scans (if required) to detect and quantify pitting, corrosion and erosion. Pressure Relief Devices are also evaluated as part of the inspection.
